Bringing Comfort through Quilts. . .

New Braunfels Area Quilt Guild members actively use their leadership and quilting skills to support area community projects, charities, education, and other non-profit organizations in need.

Through the Story Book Quilts program, we make and loan quilts to area school districts for use in classroom instruction.  Participating in the Quilts for Those In Need program, members make quilts and tote bags, which are donated to agencies who provide emergency shelter for children and families. Over the past 12 years, the Hospice Quilt Project guild members have actively created a Memory Quilt in honor of loved ones served by Hope Hospice of New Braunfels.  The Guild also creates a Children's Memory Quilt with crayon blocks created by the children who have lost loved ones. This past year, the Guild donated quilts for families whose homes were built through Habitat for Humanity.  Last, but not least, the Guild awards scholarships to deserving graduating seniors through the Clare Peterson Memorial Scholarship Fund
